This gathering will be focused on explaining the COVID vaccine, new COVID strains, while also discussing vaccination efforts, and distribution in Native American communities, with a focus on the Northeast. The panel will be facilitated by Keely Redhage and will feature: Dr. Stefanie Gillson, MD (Santee Sioux Nation)​, Dr. Ojistoh Horn, MD (Mohawk), Dr. Rodney Haring, PhD, MSW (Seneca Nation), Dr. Max Mertens, PhD (Navajo), Dr. Brian Thompson, MD (Oneida)

Dr. Stefanie Gillson, MD
(Santee Sioux Nation)

- Received her MD from University of MN, Duluth
- Currently a Psychiatry Resident at Yale

Dr. Ojistoh Horn, MD

- Received her MD from the University of British Columbia
- Completed McGill’s Family Medicine Residency Program with a fellowship in Maternal
and Child Health

Dr. Rodney Haring, PhD, MSW
(Seneca Nation)

- Received his PhD in Social Work/Welfare at the State University of New York at Buffalo

- Currently the Director of the Roswell Park Center for Indigenous Cancer Research

Dr. Max Mertens, PhD

- Received his PhD in Virology from Harvard University

His dissertation was focused on herpes research

Dr. Brian Thompson, MD

- Received his MD from Syracuse College of Medicine
- Completed his Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospitals
