The Health Department strives to protect, promote, improve, and enhance the spiritual well-being of all Native Americans. With the Wellness Program, Women's Wellness, Diabetes Program, Behavioral Health, and Youth Council, the Health Department serves more than 3,000 American Indian/ Alaska Natives annually. Youth Program

WIA (Workforce Investment ACT)

WIA offers employment and training programs for American Indian/Native American individuals meeting eligibility requirements. As a "people oriented" program, WIA encourages a goal of self sufficiency for Native individuals by providing training and employment opportunities in a flexible and coordinated system of support services. This community support program, specifically sensitive to the needs of the Native individual, provides classroom training, on-the-job training, job placement assistance, student and youth services, and the specialized employment assisting services for performing artists.
