The American Indian Community House Gift Shop has been in existence since 1977 and is the only Native American owned and operated shop in the New York metropolitan area.
In addition to being a source for traditional and contemporary American Indian jewelry, pottery, beadwork, leather and baskets, the Gift Shop also carries a large selection of books, art magazines, cards, CDs, DVDs, and original artwork by local Native American artists.
While providing a source of income to native artisans, the Gift Shop also serves to educate the general public about the American Indian culture - both historical and contemporary.
